Michael has 30 years’ expertise in the field of mediation. He has been working to develop a structure for legal and other advisors to assist their clients in better managing family relationships so as to avoid estate disputes arising before or following a death. Early facilitation and mediation are underused in this area particularly as estates and family businesses have become more complex and substantial. Both these processes could be called upon more often and at the planning stage to assist in minimising the risk of expensive and emotional battles over deceased estates.
