Partnership – Family Law Network x STEP Australia

We’re proud to celebrate our involvement as a collaboration partner of the Disrupting Tradition Conference 2026—an event that proved to be far more than just a conference. It was a genuine call to action for the legal profession.

Held at the ICC Sydney from 26–27 March, Disrupting Tradition—the flagship legal conference brought to you by the Family Law Education Network and co-hosted by JustFund—has been widely recognised as a resounding success. Congratulations to everyone involved in delivering such a dynamic and thought-provoking program.

We’re especially pleased to highlight the strong contribution from STEP members across several standout sessions:

• “Video Wills Conferences: The Great Debate” – The Honourable Philip Hallen SC (STEP Judicial Member), François Salama TEP, Edwina Chappel TEP, and Guy Moloney
• “The Power Struggle: Capacity, Autonomy & the Battle for Control” – Dr Jane Lonie and Michael Perkins TEP
• “More Than Money: Building Legacies Through Tax & Super Mastery” – Wayne Lear TEP and Peter Bobbin TEP

It was also fantastic to see other STEP members contributing across the program, including Zinta Harris TEP, MaryAnn de Mestre TEP, and Jonathon Naef.

Events like this reinforce the importance of collaboration, innovation, and leadership in shaping the future of legal practice. We look forward to continuing to support conversations that challenge tradition and drive meaningful change across the profession.
